Greetings, bassoonists! We are delighted that you are interested in the UWEC music program and look forward to getting to know you. In our bassoon studio, you will receive weekly one-on-one lessons to hone your playing technique and musicianship, develop effective and sustainable practice strategies, delve into the bassoon's wonderfully diverse repertoire, learn to make and adjust your own reeds, and explore the instrument's pedagogy. Outside of lessons, you will have the opportunity to perform with our university wind ensembles, orchestras, and student-led chamber groups. Studio members are welcome to use one of our high-quality school-owned bassoons and have access to a wide array of reed-making equipment in our reed room.
