Welcome to the UWEC oboe studio; we're glad you are here!  There are many incredible opportunities for oboists that we think you'll like being a part of at UWEC. Every week oboe students receive an individual lesson plus group reed making and studio performance classes that focus on mastering fundamentals, developing, and enhancing musical expression, studying important oboe repertoire, and learning the pedagogy of our instrument. The oboe studio works hard to achieve excellence in all we do, but we're also a supportive and fun group that is known for fostering collegiality and friendly competition.  I look forward to meeting you during a campus visit so we can have a lesson and for you to learn more about our studio.
