Thank you for expressing interest in joining the saxophone studio here at UWEC. Our studio is made up of very welcoming, dedicated and talented saxophonists. Saxophone majors have weekly lessons and a weekly studio class that brings together both the concert and jazz saxophone students to study a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: repertoire, saxophone history, technique and saxophone pedagogy. Thanks to this, our program has a great tradition of cultivating versatile performers and educators. Saxophone students also have the opportunity to participate in concert band, marching band, orchestra, jazz band, saxophone quartets, and saxophone ensemble.
